Forged interview with ex-CIA agent Robert Baer
An article purporting to be an interview with
former CIA agent Robert Baer, published on a Serbian nationalist blog, is a
complete fabrication by a young Serb named Milos Cuperdija. The forgery is
revealed and described on the website of the Greek independent investigative
team
XYZ Contagion,
with a rough Google translation
here. Cuperdija was 19 years old when he concocted the false interview.
Mr. Baer, being a secret agent, has not
responded to inquiries about the interview, which he apparently had nothing to
do with.
The fake Baer interview has been translated
into English as well as Greek. It circulates among people who use it to support
their denial of Serbian culpability for the Srebrenica massacre.
Cuperdija has a history of publishing fake
stories, including one promoting the fantasy that airplanes spew chemicals in the
air through their contrails, and another on Masons and Jesuits fighting over
Serbia.
No honest or credible sources would rely on
any of the statements in the fabricated interview. In that vein, the article has
been promoted by Michel Chossudovsky's Canadian group Global Research, a
consistent purveyor of falsehoods about the former Yugoslavia.
